4/27: Run Willie Run
Talk about a blast from the past!
If the internet is to be believed, this video—shot some time in 1970 or 1971—is the earliest known recording of Alex Lifeson playing guitar.
It’s… not great! But of course it isn’t. I mean, what do you expect from a bunch of high school stoners messing around in one of their bedrooms?
It’s wild to think that this long-haired goober with patchy facial hair grows up to become one of the greatest guitarists of all time. I just hope the other kids in this video found success and happiness, too. Especially flute girl.

I can't believe I never knew about this! Holy cow. I see Rob linked to the whole documentary which I'll try and find time to watch soon. I can't believe Geddy didn't mention this in his memoir...:)
